A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending Katie Bagosy; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Katie Bagosy has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to supporting veterans and advancing mental health initiatives, guided by her deep-rooted ties to the military as the daughter of two Navy veterans; and

WHEREAS, her late husband, Tom, honorably served as a guardian of this nation's freedom and liberty with the United States Marine Corps at Camp Lejeune, courageously and valiantly protecting his fellow Americans during deployments to Iraq and Afghanistan; and

WHEREAS, she has been a steadfast advocate for veterans during her years of service with the Mental Health Council in Forsyth County, and she serves as the Outreach Coordinator at AboutFace-USA, a distinguished nonprofit organization dedicated to providing vital support and resources to veterans; and

WHEREAS, this remarkable gentlewoman has given inspiration to many through her high ideals, morals, and deep concern for her fellow citizens, and she possesses the vast wisdom which only comes through experience and the strength of character which is achieved through overcoming the many challenges of life; and

WHEREAS, she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this exemplary individual be appropriately honored.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize and commend Katie Bagosy for her dedicated service on behalf of our nation's servicemembers and extend the most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Katie Bagosy.
