Senator Greg Dolezal Intersection; Forsyth County; dedicate ## Text 25 LC 39 4774 Senate Resolution 437 By: Senator Still of the 48th A RESOLUTION Recognizing the Honorable Gregory Robert Dolezal and dedicating an intersection in his1 honor; and for other purposes.2 WHEREAS, the Honorable Gregory Robert Dolezal was born on October 1, 1978, and was3 raised in Joliet, Illinois; and4 WHEREAS, after graduating from North Park University he moved t o Atlanta, Georgia,5 where he became involved in North Point Community Church and la ter began working in6 video production for Louie Giglio's Passion Conferences; and 7 WHEREAS, in addition to his experience in video production, Senator Dolezal worked as8 a tour manager for Christian musician Chris Tomlin for 11 years; and 9 WHEREAS, he began service as a Georgia State Senator for District 27 in 2019, where he10 has served as deputy whip, Chairman of the Senate Transportatio n Committee, Vice11 Chairman of the Senate Science and Technology Committee, and a member of the Senate12 Education and Youth, Health and Human Services, Government Over sight, and13 Reapportionment and Redistricting Committees; and14 S. R. 437 - 1 - 25 LC 39 4774 WHEREAS, Senator Dolezal is a founder and partner of Renewed Vision, a Forsyth County15 based technology company that produces the live production software, ProPresenter, which16 is used by megachurches, the International Olympics Committee, Chick-fil-A, and17 Mercedes-Benz; and 18 WHEREAS, Senator Dolezal is an owner and board member of Catalyst Nutraceuticals and19 a founder of Passion City Church; and 20 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this remarkab le and distinguished21 Georgian be appropriately recognized by dedicating an intersection in his honor.22 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED AND ENACTED BY THE GENERAL23 ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA that the intersection of State Route 306/Sawnee Dr. and State24 Route 9/Dahlonega Street in Forsyth County is dedicated as the Senator Greg Dolezal25 Intersection.26 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Department of Transportation is authorized and27 directed to erect and maintain appropriate signs dedicating the Senator Greg Dolezal28 Intersection.29 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed30 to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for dis tribution to the Honorable31 Gregory Robert Dolezal and to the Department of Transportation.32 S.
