Harrell of the 40th and others
A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Bethann Frillman; and for other purposes.1
WHEREAS, Bethann Frillman has achieved success as a vice presid ent of a Fortune 1002
international division, a Georgia small business owner, and an engaged community leader,3
wielding expertise in strategic planning, risk analysis, and program management; and4
WHEREAS, she has dedicated more than two decades to the Atlanta community, where she5
has played a key role in voter protection efforts and the improvement of the DeKalb County6
election process; and7
WHEREAS, as a volunteer and DeKalb County liaison for voter pro tection efforts, she8
supported the DeKalb County Ad Hoc Elections Committee, develop ed and maintained9
precinct-level voting statistics to support Get Out the Vote in itiatives, and analyzed the10
elections budget to keep county officials informed; and11
WHEREAS, she has further contributed to the Voter Protection Hotline by assisting voters,12
communicating with county election officials, and leading a team that analyzed more than13
9,000 hotline call records to strengthen state and county voter protection efforts; and14

WHEREAS, as the founder and owner of Bethann Frillman Photography, she successfully15
managed all aspects of her fine art portrait and commercial photography business, including16
business development, marketing, operations, and finance; and17
WHEREAS, she has additionally held executive leadership roles i n the airline industry,18
serving as Vice President of Pacific Marketing for Continental Airlines, where she managed19
$1 billion in Asia-Pacific revenue, oversaw 100 staff members a cross 12 countries, and20
successfully launched the airline's first United States to Japan service; and21
WHEREAS, she was Chief of Staff for Senator Elena Parent for tw o years, and in that22
capacity, she made it more seamless and efficient for Georgia's high school students to23
achieve lifetime success through dual enrollment; and24
WHEREAS, she and her husband, Subodh, share two successful adult sons; and25
WHEREAS, this distinguished gentlewoman has given inspiration to many through her high26
ideals, morals, and deep concern for her fellow citizens, and she possesses the vast wisdom27
which only comes through experience and the strength of charact er which is achieved28
through overcoming the many challenges of life; and29
WHEREAS, Bethann Frillman is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable30
reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and31
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this32
remarkable and distinguished individual be appropriately recognized.33

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body34
recognize and commend Bethann Frillman for her exceptional career and dedicated service35
to DeKalb County as well as extend the most sincere best wishes for continued health and36
happiness.37
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed38
to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Bethann Frillman.39
