Eisenhower renamed Armistice Day as Veterans6 Day to honor all veterans of the United States; and7 WHEREAS, veterans have made immeasurable contributions toward t he defense of this8 nation, as brave soldiers, sailors, airmen, and marines have risked their lives to protect the9 freedoms that all Americans hold dear; and10 WHEREAS, in addition to physical injuries, many veterans experi ence psychological and11 emotional trauma that requires ongoing care and support; and12 S.
