9th, Islam Parkes of the 7th and others
A RESOLUTION
Congratulating and commending Mallory Minor for receiving the 2025 Yellow Rose Nikki1
T. Randall Servant Leadership Award; and for other purposes.2
WHEREAS, in 1999, Representative Nikki T. Randall became the fi rst African American3
female elected to the General Assembly from middle Georgia, and over her 17 years of4
service as a legislator, she held numerous leadership positions, including chair of the Georgia5
Women's Legislative Caucus; and6
WHEREAS, every year during Women's History Month, the Georgia Women's Legislative7
Caucus recognizes outstanding women in Georgia who exemplify th e leadership and8
inspiration embodied by Representative Randall; and9
WHEREAS, Mallory Minor currently serves as court administrator and clerk of court for the10
Municipal Court of the City of Stonecrest, where her leadership has resulted in the court's11
receipt of multiple prestigious awards and honors; and12
WHEREAS, she previously served as magistrate clerk of court for the Magistrate Court of13
Rockdale County, becoming the first African American woman in t he county's history to14
hold this position upon her appointment and playing a key role in launching impactful15

court-to-community initiatives such as the Smart Justice video series, an annual youth law16
camp, and student mentorship programs during her tenure; and17
WHEREAS, under her leadership, the Magistrate Court of Rockdale County received the18
2018 Judicial Clearance Rate Excellence Award from the Judicial Council of Georgia19
Standing Committee on Judicial Workload Assessment; and20
WHEREAS, Mallory Minor has established a glowing reputation of renown throughout21
Georgia for her dedication to the legal profession, her commitment to mentoring youth, and22
her exemplary service on numerous boards and organizations; and23
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this24
extraordinary servant leader be appropriately recognized.25
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body26
congratulate and commend Mallory Minor for receiving the 2025 Y ellow Rose Nikki T.27
Randall Servant Leadership Award and extend best wishes for her continued success.28
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed29
to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Mallory Minor.30
