A RESOLUTION
Congratulating Life University on its historic NAIA Women's Wre stling National1
Championship and outstanding achievements in collegiate wrestling; and for other purposes.2
WHEREAS, Life University, located in Marietta, Georgia, is the largest single-campus3
chiropractic university in the world, serving nearly 2,700 stud ents pursuing degrees in 204
different health science programs; and5
WHEREAS, founded in 1974, Life University is renowned for its p hilosophy of "lasting6
purpose," which encourages individuals to give, to do, to love, and to serve out of their own7
abundance; and8
WHEREAS, Life University has achieved a historic milestone by c apturing its first ever9
NAIA Women's Wrestling National Championship, setting a NAIA re cord in total team10
points, and establishing a new standard of excellence in collegiate wrestling; and 11
WHEREAS, this remarkable victory was led by outstanding individual performances, with12
Zaynah McBryde, Latifah McBryde, and Savannah Isaac earning national titles, and the team13
achieving an impressive 10 All-American honors; and 14

WHEREAS, Head Coach Ashley Flavin was recognized as NAIA Coach of the Year for her15
leadership in guiding the Running Eagles to their record-breaking championship victory; and 16
WHEREAS, the Life University men's wrestling team also delivere d an exceptional17
performance at the 2025 NAIA National Championships, finishing as national runner-up,18
securing two individual national titles won by Thaddeus Long and JD Peres, and achieving19
10 All-American honors; and 20
WHEREAS, Life University's wrestling programs have demonstrated remarkable dedication,21
perseverance, and teamwork, embodying the values of excellence, resilience, and22
sportsmanship; and 23
WHEREAS, these historic achievements not only bring great pride to Life University but24
also serve as an inspiration for student-athletes across Georgia and the nation.25
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body26
congratulate Life University's women's wrestling team on winning its first NAIA National27
Championship, commend the men's wrestling team for its outstand ing performance, and28
recognize the leadership of coaches Ashley Flavin and Omi Acosta and the dedication of all29
student-athletes and staff who contributed to this historic season.30
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed31
to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Life University. 32
