A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending Councilwoman Hue Nguyen for her service to the City of Morrow; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Councilwoman Hue Nguyen has served with distinction on the Morrow City Council since her election in January 2024, earning recognition as the youngest current council member and a dedicated advocate for progress in her community; and

WHEREAS, since assuming office, Councilwoman Hue Nguyen has focused on fostering economic development, improving city parks, and enhancing community engagement to better serve the residents of Morrow; and

WHEREAS, a proud resident of Morrow since 2002, she originally immigrated from Vietnam and soon after began building after-school youth programs aimed at uplifting the community and creating opportunities for all residents; and

WHEREAS, she further serves her community through her volunteer work at food pantries and senior centers, grant writing and program administration for welfare initiatives, and her leadership as a Sunday school teacher promoting education and cultural awareness; and

WHEREAS, Councilwoman Hue Nguyen continues to be a tireless advocate for inclusion, opportunity, and representation, ensuring that diverse voices are heard and valued in local government and throughout the Morrow community; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this exemplary individual be appropriately honored during this special time.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize and commend Councilwoman Hue Nguyen for her efficient, effective, and dedicated public service to the City of Morrow as well as extend best wishes for continued success.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Councilwoman Hue Nguyen.
