A RESOLUTION

Recognizing April 20-26, 2025, as Independent Order of Odd Fellows Week; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, the Independent Order of Odd Fellows of Georgia has long dedicated itself to promoting goodwill among individuals and to advancing the welfare of humanity in the many cities and communities it serves; and

WHEREAS, this year, the Independent Order of Odd Fellows is celebrating its 206th anniversary on the North American continent and its 180th anniversary in the State of Georgia; and

WHEREAS, the officers and members of the Independent Order of Odd Fellows of Georgia have requested that the week of April 20 through April 26, 2025, be recognized as Independent Order of Odd Fellows Week, with April 26 marking the founding date of this distinguished fraternity 206 years ago.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize April 20-26, 2025, as Independent Order of Odd Fellows Week. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the Independent Order of Odd Fellows of Georgia.
