A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending the Sheriff's Klean Initiative Program (S.K.I.P.) Unit; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, the Sheriff's Klean Initiative Program (S.K.I.P.) Unit is a specialized division within the Clayton County Sheriff's Office responsible for managing inmate work details that focus on community beautification and maintenance projects; and

WHEREAS, the S.K.I.P. Unit provides non-violent offenders with opportunities for rehabilitation and skill-building by engaging them in tasks such as trash collection, landscaping, minor repairs, and facility upkeep throughout Clayton County; and

WHEREAS, the program enhances public spaces and fosters a sense of responsibility among participants while contributing to the overall cleanliness and maintenance of the county; and

WHEREAS, the commitment of the S.K.I.P. Unit to both community improvement and offender rehabilitation exemplifies the positive impact of structured reintegration programs within the criminal justice system; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this exemplary unit be appropriately honored during this special time.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize and commend the Sheriff's Klean Initiative Program (S.K.I.P.) Unit for its invaluable contributions to Clayton County and its dedication to rehabilitation and public service as well as extend best wishes for continued success. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the Clayton County Sheriff's Office.
