Miller-Fields, a native of Savannah, Georgia, has distinguished2 herself as an educator, advocate, and leader dedicated to uplifting youth and strengthening3 her community through decades of public service; and4 WHEREAS, she currently serves the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System as5 Director of Student Affairs, supporting more than 36,000 studen ts through compassionate6 leadership and transformative programming; and7 WHEREAS, she began her career with the Savannah-Chatham County Public School System8 as the first social worker assigned to the Teen Age Parenthood Program, during which time9 she provided vital support to students navigating the challenge s of early parenthood and10 served as President of the First District of School Social Workers of Georgia; and11 WHEREAS, her next position was as Job Placement Specialist and Assistant Site12 Administrator at the Riley Learning Center, a school designated for students charged with13 or adjudicated of specific felony offenses; and14 S.
