A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending Bishop Pierce Moore Jr.; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Bishop Pierce Moore Jr. has demonstrated his commitment to teaching the Gospel, witnessing Christ through word and deed, and addressing the physical, psychological, and spiritual needs of others; and

WHEREAS, Bishop Pierce Moore Jr. was called to serve at Savannah Deliverance Center of the Evangelistic Centers of Georgia Inc., where he has pastored for more than 16 years; and

WHEREAS, Savannah Deliverance Center is the headquarters church for Deliverance Evangelistic Centers of Georgia Inc., which was founded in 1965; and

WHEREAS, with the support of his wife, Minister Barbara N. Moore, First Lady and District Mother, this spiritual team has provided guidance and leadership for the worshipers of Savannah Deliverance Center, which has continued to grow and expand its outreach to worshipers across the coastal region; and

WHEREAS, a religious mentor who is dedicated to the awareness and spiritual development of all people, Bishop Moore is a highly respected spiritual leader and shining example to others to follow God's righteous path; and

WHEREAS, this accomplished community servant has received many awards, citations, and commendations for his life's work, and it is abundantly fitting and proper that this enduring Messenger of God be appropriately honored on the occasion of his 16th Pastoral Anniversary.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize and commend Pastor and Overseer Bishop Pierce Moore Jr. for his many good works to improve the spiritual growth of his church and the surrounding community. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to Bishop Pierce Moore Jr. and the Savannah Deliverance Center family.
