A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Dr. Robert Gordon Ross McInally; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Dr. Robert Gordon Ross McInally joined the Rotary Club of South Queensferry, Scotland, in 1984 and has since held prominent leadership roles such as President and Vice President of Rotary International in Great Britain and Ireland; and
WHEREAS, during his distinguished tenure, Dr. McInally spearheaded a partnership with Hope and Homes for Children, focusing on providing stability and support for Rwandan genocide orphans, and he continues to serve as a patron of the organization; and
WHEREAS, Dr. McInally further serves as a patron of Trade-Aid, an initiative of the Rotary Club of Grantham Kesteven, England, which delivers sustainable humanitarian aid to the developing world, as well as an ambassador for Bipolar UK; and
WHEREAS, this distinguished gentleman has given inspiration to many through his high ideals, morals, and deep concern for his fellow citizens, and he possesses the vast wisdom which only comes through experience and the strength of character which is achieved through overcoming the many challenges of life; and
WHEREAS, he is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this remarkable and distinguished individual be appropriately recognized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize and commend Dr. Robert Gordon Ross McInally for his efficient, effective, unselfish, and dedicated service on behalf of those in need as well as extend the most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Dr. Robert Gordon Ross McInally.
