Jones of the 10th and others
A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Dr. Jackson Drumgoole II; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Dr. Jackson Drumgoole II is a distinguished social entrepreneur, thought leader,
and community change agent who has tirelessly impacted the lives of countless fathers
though his extensive repertoire of articles, conferences, books, and coaching sessions; and
WHEREAS, a seasoned 29-year United States Army veteran, author, speaker, university
professor, and life coach, Dr. Drumgoole’s remarkable journey has been marked with
significant accolades including the prestigious All Star Dad of the Year Award for his
exceptional work with military fathers during multiple deployments to Iraq; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Drumgoole’s seminal work, They Call Me Daddy: A Diary of a
Dysfunctional Father, where he candidly shared his own journey in fatherhood, has ignited
a powerful community response and left a lasting impact on readers; and
WHEREAS, Dr. Drumgoole is the visionary behind the acclaimed Fathering for Effect
program as well as serves as the founder and executive director of Bridge Builder
Communities, an initiative committed to providing safe, affordable housing and life skills
training to youth aging out of the foster care system; and
WHEREAS, he has given inspiration to many through his high ideals, morals, and deep
concern for his fellow citizens, and he possesses the vast wisdom which only comes through
experience and the strength of character which is achieved through overcoming the many
challenges of life; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this
remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body
recognize and commend Dr. Jackson Drumgoole II for his dedicated community service and
extend their sincere best wishes for his continued health, happiness, and success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Dr. Jackson
Drumgoole II.
