A RESOLUTION

Recognizing February 10, 2026, as Fayette Chamber Day at the Capitol in conjunction with the Fayette Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Fayette program; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, started by the Fayette Chamber of Commerce in 1980, Leadership Fayette strives to empower and encourage a diverse group of existing and emerging leaders that are prepared and committed to serving Fayette County; and

WHEREAS, Leadership Fayette is a hands-on program that provides opportunities for individuals to enhance their civic knowledge of Fayette County, hone their leadership skills, and network with leaders across the community; and

WHEREAS, through Leadership Fayette participants gain an in-depth view of critical issues facing thier community; personal leadership skills, awareness, and development; access to opportunities for community involvement; opportunities to discuss key issues with community leaders; as well as new, strengthened relationships with peers; and

WHEREAS, on February 10, 2026, participants in the Leadership Fayette program will visit to the Georgia State Capitol to learn about the legislative process and engage with state leaders; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this outstanding program is appropriately honored.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize February 10, 2026, as Fayette Chamber Day at the Capitol in conjunction with the Fayette Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Fayette program. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Leadership Fayette.
