A RESOLUTION
Congratulating the Lanier County High School baseball team for winning the 2025 GHSA
Class A Division II State Baseball Championship; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, the Lanier County High School baseball team has established and maintained
a proud tradition of excellence, emphasizing discipline, teamwork, and academic
commitment; and
WHEREAS, the team completed an extraordinary season during the 2024-2025 school year
by winning the GHSA Class A Division II State Baseball Championship in May 2025; and
WHEREAS, this outstanding achievement marks a back-to-back state championship for the
Lanier County High School baseball program, further solidifying its place among the elite
teams in Georgia high school athletics; and
WHEREAS, the team posted an exceptional overall record of 33 wins and only 7 losses,
demonstrating consistent excellence throughout regular season and postseason competition;
and
WHEREAS, the remarkable success of the team reflects the leadership, dedication, and
commitment of Head Coach Matthew White, whose guidance played a critical role in the
championship season; and
WHEREAS, the Lanier County High School baseball team has brought great pride to its
school and community by earning a reputation for athletic excellence, sportsmanship, and
the relentless pursuit of success both on and off the field; and
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body
congratulate the Lanier County High School baseball team on winning the 2025 GHSA Class
A Division II State Baseball Championship and extend best wishes to the players, coaches,
and supporters for continued success in all future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the Lanier County
High School baseball team.
