Summers of the 13th and others
A RESOLUTION
Congratulating the Lanier County High School Lady Bulldogs Fast Pitch Softball team for
winning the Fall 2025 GHSA Class A Division II State Softball Championship; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS, the Lanier County High School Lady Bulldogs Fast Pitch Softball team
completed an outstanding 2025 season by winning the Fall 2025 GHSA Class A Division II
State Softball Championship; and
WHEREAS, this championship title represents the team's second state championship in three
years, further solidifying its place among the elite softball programs in the state; and
WHEREAS, the Lady Bulldogs secured the state title with a thrilling 10-7 victory in extra
innings, demonstrating resilience, determination, and competitive excellence under pressure;
and
WHEREAS, the success of this remarkable team reflects the leadership and dedication of
Head Coach Aniston Gano and Assistant Coaches Will Watson, Derek White, and Brooke
Mathis, whose guidance and commitment were instrumental throughout the season; and
WHEREAS, the championship team was comprised of the following outstanding
student-athletes: Marissa Yeomans, Kamden Sealey, Raylyn Hunt, Kaylee Creamer, KK
Trejo, Macie Stone, Molly Newbern, Delaney McKettrick, Katie Newbern, Jade Squires,
Anzley Westlake, Emalee Hunt, Chloe Fender, Molly Livingston, Ryder Holbrook, EmLee
Lowery, Ellee Murray, Kenlyn Taylor, Evie Murray, Sayla Schade, Brilee Burkhalter, Shelby
McKettrick, Addison Smith, and Janie Taylor; and
WHEREAS, the Lanier County High School Lady Bulldogs Fast Pitch Softball team has
brought great pride to their school and community by earning a distinguished reputation for
athletic excellence, sportsmanship, and the unwavering pursuit of success both on and off the
field.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body
congratulate the Lanier County High School Lady Bulldogs Fast Pitch Softball team for
winning the Fall 2025 GHSA Class A Division II State Softball Championship and extend
best wishes for their continued success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the Lanier County
High School Lady Bulldogs Fast Pitch Softball team.
