By: Senators Burns of the 23rd, Williams of the 25th, Payne of the 54th, Howard of the 35th,
Harrell of the 40th and others
A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Stacey Mabray; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Stacey Mabray has been selected to compete for the honor of becoming the
state recipient of the Technical College System of Georgia's 2025 Georgia Adult Education
Teacher of the Year; and
WHEREAS, with this award, Ms. Mabray has earned the distinction of being named the
Technical College System of Georgia's 2025 Georgia Adult Education Teacher of the Year;
and
WHEREAS, Ms. Mabray, an instructor for the adult education program at Augusta Technical
College, has exemplified excellence in instructional knowledge and practices; and
WHEREAS, in recognition of such, Ms. Mabray was selected from an elite group of Georgia
adult education instructors who have each demonstrated innovative teaching practices and
exceptional leadership skills at their respective institutions; and
WHEREAS, through dedication and professionalism, Ms. Mabray has brought honor to
herself, her family, Augusta Technical College and the entire Technical College System of
Georgia.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body
commend and congratulate Stacey Mabray for her achievements and her efforts to promote
adult and technical education in Georgia and convey their congratulations.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Stacey Mabray.
