A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending Christopher M. Lazzara; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Christopher M. Lazzara has established a glowing reputation throughout the state of Georgia as a passionate and dedicated entrepreneur, philanthropist, and community leader; and

WHEREAS, Christopher Lazzara founded MountainStar Partners in 2013, and as Chief Executive Officer, he diligently leads the firm’s investment committee, directs investment strategy, and continues to oversee all major initiatives for the company and its subsidiaries; and

WHEREAS, in addition to overseeing the growth and success of MountainStar Partners, Christopher Lazzara also co-founded the Georgia School of Orthodontics, in 2016, with his father, Dr. Gasper Lazzara; and

WHEREAS, he is a permanent member of the Executive Committee of the Georgia School of Orthodontics’ Board of Trustees and serves as Chair of the School’s Finance and Facilities Committees; and

WHEREAS, Christopher Lazzara has proudly served in leadership with various prestigious organizations including the MaliVai Washington Youth Foundation, the University of North Florida, the Lazzara Family Foundation, the Cultural Council of Greater Jacksonville, and the American Cancer Society; and

WHEREAS, in response to his 6-month-old daughter experiencing symptoms of an rare and incurable pediatric disease, Christopher Lazzara founded the Isa Elaine Foundation which is committed to sharing research, clinical application, and financial resources to help other patients experiencing similar challenges; and

WHEREAS, Christopher Lazzara is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for dedicated leadership, integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize and commend Christopher M. Lazzara and extend their sincere best wishes for his continued health, happiness, and success.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Christopher M. Lazzara.
