A RESOLUTION
Congratulating the Employees' Retirement System of Georgia upon its 75th anniversary; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, the Employees' Retirement System of Georgia (ERSGA) was established in 1950, and it has served as a trusted partner in retirement readiness for Georgia's workforce over the past 75 years; and
WHEREAS, ERSGA administers five distinct defined benefit pension plans, two life insurance plans, and three defined contribution plans, including the Peach State Reserves
(PSR) 401(k) and 457 plans; and
WHEREAS, ERSGA further serves as the Social Security Administrator for political subdivisions across Georgia, supporting retirement on a statewide level; and
WHEREAS, ERSGA is guided by its mission to promote a dignified retirement and is committed to delivering accurate and timely benefits supported by state-of-the-art technology; and
WHEREAS, ERSGA remains dedicated to operational excellence, innovation, and superior customer service, upholding its commitment to integrity and continuous improvement for the members, retirees, and beneficiaries it serves.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body congratulate the Employees' Retirement System of Georgia upon the grand occasion of its 75th anniversary and extend best wishes for continued success. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the Employees' Retirement System of Georgia.
