A RESOLUTION
Honoring Reverend Tracey R. Harris and the Harvest Community Outreach Church; and for
other purposes.
WHEREAS, Reverend Tracey R. Harris is the founding pastor of the Harvest Community
Outreach Church in Marietta, Georgia; and
WHEREAS, on Saturday, February 7, 2026, Reverend Harris will be honored at a pastoral
installation service and on Sunday, February 8, 2026, the Harvest Community Outreach
Church will hold its first official service; and
WHEREAS, Reverend Harris has spent a lifetime answering God's call to be His messenger
to do His will; and
WHEREAS, he was baptized at the Bright Star C.O.G.I.G. church in Chicago, Illinois, and
accepted his call into the ministry of the Gospel of Jesus Christ at the young age of 12; and
WHEREAS, his undeniable talents opened doors for him in the professional arena as a young
boy, touring and recording lead vocals with Walt Whitman and the Soul Children of
Chicago; and
WHEREAS, Reverend Harris has worked with many of Gospel's greats, such as Dr. Bobby
Jones, James Bignon, and the Georgia Mass Choir with whom he also toured and recorded;
and
WHEREAS, he has also graced the stage as an actor and lead vocalist in the off-Broadway
Irish sensation production "Riverdance" throughout the United States and Europe with
critical acclaim; and
WHEREAS, Reverend Harris is the proud father of his daughters, Ryan, Mariah, Micah, and
Melia; his son, Nathaniel; and three foster sons, Ayden, Wayne, and Kenny; and
WHEREAS, prior to opening the Harvest Community Outreach Church, Reverend Harris
served for eight years as an Associate Pastor of the Mt. Welcome Missionary Baptist Church,
in Decatur, Georgia; and
WHEREAS, Reverend Harris is the published author of Not on My Watch, co-producer of
the popular Jazz at the Mt. series, and serves as Chaplin for the Cobb County District
Attorney's Office, the State of Georgia, as well as is the CEO and owner of Atlanta's Premier
Shuttle and Limo Service, CEO of The Gospel Tribune Atlanta Newspaper, and presently
works as a Criminal Investigator at the Cobb County District Attorney's Office; and
WHEREAS, among the many accolades Reverend Harris has received is the President's
Volunteer Service Global Humanitarian Award and an honorary Doctorate for his
community engagement for the unhoused population in Atlanta, Georgia; and
WHEREAS, whether the task is preparing a sermon, visiting the sick, counseling the
troubled, baptizing a new believer, or acting as a theologian, educator, administrator, or
humanitarian, Reverend Harris serves as a shining example of God's righteous path; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this enduring example of God's message
of peace and love be recognized and congratulated for his innumerable good works rendered
on behalf of persons in need.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body
honor Reverend Tracey R. Harris, congratulate him upon the opening of the Harvest
Community Outreach Church, and extend their sincere best wishes for his continued health,
happiness, and success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Reverend Tracey
R. Harris.
