A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Catherine Hardrick; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Catherine "Cat" Hardrick is a disabled United States Army veteran whose life
and leadership reflect extraordinary resilience, courage, and an unwavering commitment to
service; and
WHEREAS, Catherine served over 5 years in the United States Army as a 71L
Administrative Specialist, providing mission critical personnel and operational support to
military leadership, safeguarding sensitive personnel records, supporting command
operations, and helping ensure unit readiness and mission effectiveness; and
WHEREAS, during her military service, Catherine served in the historic Operation Just
Cause in Panama, supporting United States military operations focused on protecting
American citizens, restoring democratic governance, and maintaining regional security; and
WHEREAS, through strength, faith, and perseverance, Catherine transformed her personal
experience as a survivor of military sexual trauma into purpose, using her voice to support
fellow veterans, advocate for trauma informed care, and help remove stigma surrounding
military sexual trauma; and
WHEREAS, following her military service, Catherine built a distinguished career of more
than 20 years in the finance industry, serving in roles including treasury analyst, mutual
funds trading specialist, and executive level administrative leadership supporting senior
executives in both the banking and corporate consulting sectors; and
WHEREAS, Catherine continues her service through public leadership and community
impact as a newly elected Snellville City councilmember and the founder and CEO of
Journey Within, LLC; and
WHEREAS, Catherine’s service and leadership have earned regional recognition, including
the prestigious Yellow Ribbon Award for Women Impacting the Community, and her role
in helping champion the Women Veterans Day Proclamation in Gwinnett County; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this extraordinary Georgian be
appropriately honored.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body
recognize and commend Catherine Hardrick for her leadership, advocacy, and unwavering
commitment to others.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Catherine
Hardrick.
