A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending Every Color Matters for its outstanding service, advocacy, and dedication to improving public health and ensuring equitable access to cancer care; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Every Color Matters is a nonprofit organization dedicated to raising awareness about cancer, promoting early detection, and providing direct support to individuals and families affected by cancer, regardless of race, background, or socioeconomic status; and

WHEREAS, this organization was founded on the principle that every life matters and that access to cancer education, resources, and support should be equitable and inclusive; and

WHEREAS, Every Color Matters has demonstrated a strong commitment to community empowerment through educational outreach, fundraising initiatives, and public awareness campaigns that encourage proactive health screenings and early intervention; and

WHEREAS, this organization provides meaningful financial assistance and support services to families navigating the physical, emotional, and economic challenges associated with cancer treatment; and

WHEREAS, Every Color Matters hosts impactful community events, including annual galas and health focused runs and walks which unite survivors, advocates, healthcare professionals, and community leaders in collective action against cancer; and

WHEREAS, through its scholarship programs and charitable initiatives, Every Color Matters invests in the future by supporting students and families whose lives have been affected by cancer; and

WHEREAS, Every Color Matters has strengthened community awareness, fostered compassion, and delivered hope to countless individuals facing cancer related challenges.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize and commend Every Color Matters for its outstanding service and advocacy as well as for its dedication to equitable access to care and to improving the lives of individuals and families affected by cancer.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Every Color Matters.
