A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Ms. Libby Saylor Wright; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Ms. Libby Saylor Wright has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the vital role that she has played in leadership and her deep personal commitment to the welfare of the citizens of Georgia; and
WHEREAS, she is an exemplary Georgia leader whose career reflects a rare blend of corporate excellence, community impact, and unwavering commitment to youth development; and
WHEREAS, she has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of her time, talent, and energy toward the betterment of her community and state as evidenced dramatically by her superlative service as President and CEO of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Metro Atlanta, where she oversees 26 Clubs across nine counties and directly influences the lives of thousands of young people and families; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Wright's significant organizational and leadership talents, remarkable patience and diplomacy, keen sense of vision, and sensitivity to the needs of the citizens of this state have strengthened one of the most important youth-serving organizations in the state, ensuring that children have safe, enriching environments that promote academic success, character development, and healthy lifestyles; and
WHEREAS, her previous leadership roles at Microsoft, The Coca-Cola Company, and the Women's Foodservice Forum demonstrate her ability to drive innovation, build organizational capacity, and champion equity and opportunity for women and youth; and
WHEREAS, Ms. Wright has spent over twenty years advancing mentorship, education, and leadership development through board service and volunteerism; and
WHEREAS, reflecting her deep commitment to civic engagement and community uplift, Ms. Wright is a proud member of Delta Sigma Theta Sorority, Inc., and The Links, Inc.; and
WHEREAS, she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize and commend Ms. Libby Saylor Wright for her efficient, effective, unselfish, and dedicated public service to the State of Georgia and extend the most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Ms. Libby Saylor Wright.
