A RESOLUTION

Commending Quanya Pendleton-Sears, a 2026 Don Cargill STEM Scholar; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, nothing is more vital to the future of our state than the education of our young people, and Quanya Pendleton-Sears exemplifies the selfless dedication that is characteristic of our finest teachers; and

WHEREAS, Quanya Pendleton-Sears is a highly praised fourth grade science and social studies teacher at Heritage Elementary School, tirelessly directing an extraordinary amount of time and talent toward guiding students to a brighter future; and

WHEREAS, the scholarship will directly enhance meaningful learning experiences, help students connect classroom learning to real-world problem solving, and further engage, inspire, and empower Quanya Pendleton-Sears' students, fostering curiosity, creativity, and critical thinking; and

WHEREAS, in recognition of such remarkable contributions to the education and welfare of Georgia's students, it is abundantly fitting and proper for this body to honor the extraordinary accomplishments and academic achievements of this outstanding educator.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend Quanya Pendleton-Sears upon being selected as a 2026 Don Cargill STEM Scholar and express their most sincere best wishes for continued success. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Quanya Pendleton-Sears.
