## Summaries written by Georgia Commons

The following was written by claude-sonnet-5 from the text above and is not part of the resolution. Quote the text, not the summary.

A Georgia Senate resolution formally congratulates Ryan and Lauren Gale on the birth of their daughter, Eden June Gale, and directs that a copy be given to the family.

### Plain-language summary

This is a ceremonial resolution passed by the Georgia Senate. It does not change any law. Instead, it recognizes the birth of Eden June Gale, born January 19, 2026, to Ryan and Lauren Gale, and states basic facts about the birth such as her weight and length.
The resolution formally congratulates the parents on behalf of the Senate and wishes their daughter a long and happy life. It also directs the Secretary of the Senate to prepare a copy of the resolution for the family to keep as a memento. This is a common type of resolution the General Assembly passes to mark personal milestones for Georgia residents.

### What it does

- Formally congratulates Ryan and Lauren Gale on the birth of their daughter, Eden June Gale, on behalf of the Senate.
- States the date, time, weight, and length of the birth as recorded facts in the resolution.
- Directs the Secretary of the Senate to prepare a copy of the resolution for distribution to the parents.
- Creates no changes to Georgia law, funding, or regulations.

### Who it affects

The resolution directly names Ryan and Lauren Gale and their newborn daughter, Eden June Gale. It also involves the Secretary of the Senate, who is directed to prepare and distribute a copy of the resolution to the family.

### Why it matters

This resolution has no practical legal effect on Georgians generally. Its significance is personal and ceremonial: it gives the Gale family an official Senate document marking their daughter's birth, a common gesture the General Assembly extends to constituents.

### Key provisions

- The whereas clauses recite the facts of the birth, including the date, time, weight, and length of Eden June Gale.
- The resolved clause has the Senate congratulate the parents and wish their daughter a long life as a new Georgian.
- The final clause directs the Secretary of the Senate to make a copy of the resolution available to the family.
