Senate Resolution 776
By: Senators Mallow of the 2nd, Watson of the 11th and Williams of the 25th
A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Ms. Versie Zanders upon her retirement; and for other
purposes.
WHEREAS, Ms. Versie Zanders, affectionately know as Ms. V., has long been recognized
by the citizens of this state for the vital role that she has played in leadership and her deep
personal commitment to the welfare of the citizens of Georgia; and
WHEREAS, she has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of her time,
talents, and energy toward the betterment of her community and state as evidenced
dramatically by her 14 years of superlative service with the Ethics Commission; and
WHEREAS, this distinguished gentlewoman has given inspiration to many through her high
ideals, morals, and deep concern for her fellow citizens, and she possesses the vast wisdom
which only comes through experience and the strength of character which is achieved
through overcoming the many challenges of life; and
WHEREAS, she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for
integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and
WHEREAS, Ms. V. has served the State of Georgia with honor and distinction, and her
vision and unyielding commitment to faith, family, and community will be sorely missed
upon the occasion of her retirement; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this
remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body
recognize and commend Ms. Versie Zanders for her efficient, effective, unselfish, and
dedicated public service to the State of Georgia; congratulate her upon the grand occasion
of her retirement; and extend the most sincere best wishes for continued health and
happiness.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Ms. Versie
Zanders.
