Senate Resolution 783

A RESOLUTION

Recognizing Director General Jared Lin; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, Director General Jared Lin is the current head of Taipei Economic and Cultural Office (TECO) in Atlanta; and

WHEREAS, TECO officially represents Taiwan's interests in six Southeastern states, including the State of Georgia; and

WHEREAS, Georgia's relationship with Taiwan is centered on trade, investment, education, and cultural exchange and the state engages Taiwan through economic development missions, business investment, university partnerships, and cultural programs; and

WHEREAS, Director General Jared Lin is dedicated to deepening partnerships, fostering mutual understanding, and creating new opportunities for exchange between Taiwan and the Southeastern United States; and

WHEREAS, he is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this remarkable and distinguished gentleman be appropriately recognized.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize and commend Director General Jared Lin for his efficient, effective, unselfish, and dedicated public service to the State of Georgia and extend the most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Director General Jared Lin.
