By: Senators Howard of the 35th, Kemp of the 38th, Anderson of the 43rd, Wicks of the
34th, James of the 28th and others
A RESOLUTION
Congratulating the Omicron Mu Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.; and
for other purposes.
WHEREAS, the Omicron Mu Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., was
named Alumni Chapter of the Year at the Alpha Georgia District Association Convention;
and
WHEREAS, this prestigious award honors the Georgia chapter that demonstrated exceptional
performance throughout the year across key areas including membership engagement,
programming excellence, innovative initiatives, and alignment with the fraternity’s values
of leadership development, brotherhood, and community service; and
WHEREAS, the award recognized the Omicron Mu Lambda Chapter's outstanding
leadership, community impact, and commitment to the mission of the fraternity; and
WHEREAS, Omicron Mu Lambda Chapter, known as The Cobb County Alphas, proudly
serves young men in Cobb high schools through its Youth to Men initiative; and
WHEREAS, chartered in 1986, and celebrating its 40th anniversary this year, the Omicron
Mu Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., is comprised of passionate, hard
working, and dedicated men, who together fulfill the fraternity’s mission and make a lasting
impact in Cobb County.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body
congratulate the Omicron Mu Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc., upon
being named Alumni Chapter of the Year.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the Omicron Mu
Lambda Chapter of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc.
