Senate Resolution 785
By: Senators Parent of the 44th, Jones of the 10th, Mangham of the 55th, Harrell of the 40th,
Jackson of the 41st and others
A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Mark Arnold; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Mark Arnold has long been recognized by the citizens of this state for the vital
role that he has played in leadership and his deep personal commitment to the welfare of the
citizens of Georgia; and
WHEREAS, Mark currently serves on the Decatur City Commission and is vice president
of Data Analytics and Business Intelligence for CRH Americas Materials, Inc., the world's
largest building materials company; and
WHEREAS, he has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of his time,
talents, and energy toward the betterment of his community and state as evidenced
dramatically by his superlative service on the Legacy Park Board of Directors, the City of
Decatur Charter Review Commission, the Beacon Hill Middle School Leadership Team, the
Decatur MLK Service Project, and the Decatur-DeKalb YMCA board; and
WHEREAS, Mark is the founder of Nuestro Banco, a pioneering community bank in North
Carolina, where he developed a groundbreaking business model for a Spanish-language bank
approved by the FDIC Southeastern regional office; and
WHEREAS, he is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for
integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this
remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body
recognize and commend Mark Arnold for his efficient, effective, unselfish, and dedicated
public service and extend their sincere best wishes for his continued health, happiness, and
success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Mark Arnold.
