A RESOLUTION
Commending and congratulating the Roswell Rotary Club upon its 75th anniversary; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, the Roswell Rotary Club will be celebrating the 75th anniversary of its founding; and
WHEREAS, the club was founded on April 18, 1951, with 26 dedicated members; and
WHEREAS, over the next 75 years, the club expanded its membership to over 200 members; and
WHEREAS, under the guiding hand of President Trummie Patrick, III, the club raised over $2 million for the Rotary Foundation; and
WHEREAS, through its volunteer efforts and service initiatives, including the Golf, Tennis and Pickleball tournament, the club raised millions of dollars for local charities; and
WHEREAS, the Roswell Rotary Club has won numerous prestigious awards, including Club of the Year and Club of the Decade, as well as was recognized for its service project and membership; and
WHEREAS, this monumental anniversary offers an opportunity to reflect on shared history, honor the legacy of service, and celebrate the friendships and impact that the Roswell Rotary Club has made during its 75 years of service.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body commend and congratulate the Roswell Rotary Club upon its 75th anniversary and extend best wishes for its continued growth and success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the Roswell Rotary Club.
