A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Tammi Temeki Perkins; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Tammi Temeki Perkins is a United States Army veteran, an entrepreneur, and a community leader who is committed to empowerment, wellness, and community engagement; and
WHEREAS, she served as a guardian of this nation's freedom and liberty with the United States Army, valiantly and courageously protecting her fellow Americans from 1996 to 2016; and
WHEREAS, during her distinguished career, she received numerous awards recognizing her dedication, professionalism, and service to our nation; and
WHEREAS, beyond her military accomplishments, Tammi is an active and loyal member of several veteran and women-led organizations, including Kappa Epsilon Psi Military Sorority Foundation, Inc.; Women Veteran Initiative Foundation; Georgia Military Women; Empowered Sisterhoods of Veterans, Inc.; and Georgia Military Women Southern Crescent; and
WHEREAS, she is an accomplished and dedicated entrepreneur and business owner, operating Nspired 2 Travel LLC, Tammi'z Nspired Thingz LLC, and Nspired 2 Stay Fit LLC; and
WHEREAS, she also serves as a board member for Room to Bloom, a nonprofit community development organization in Montgomery, Alabama; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this extraordinary Georgian be appropriately honored.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize and commend Tammi Temeki Perkins for her unwavering commitment to empowerment, wellness, and community engagement.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Tammi Temeki Perkins.
