WHEREAS, the Dalton State College mens golf team has established and maintained a proud tradition of excellence with equal emphases on character and academics; and WHEREAS, this superlative team has completed another triumphant season of golf competition by posting an outstanding record of eight tournament wins and defeating a total of 131 teams; and WHEREAS, this all-star team included five players who earned NAIA All-American titles, with Brock Hoover making history as the first Roadrunner athlete to win 1st Team Academic All-American honors; and WHEREAS, as this magnificent team earned its well-deserved reputation for excellence by performing with courage and precision over months of training and competition, it is abundantly proper to call them champions.
