A RESOLUTION

Recognizing and commending the 68th Annual Southeast District Conference of the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women's Clubs, Inc., and honoring its longstanding commitment to leadership, service, and economic empowerment; and for other purposes.

WHEREAS, the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women's Clubs, Inc., (NANBPWC) was founded in 1935 and stands as one of the nation's longest-standing organizations dedicated to the professional, civic, and economic advancement of African American women; and

WHEREAS, for more than nine decades, NANBPWC has upheld a proud legacy of advocacy, leadership development, entrepreneurship, voter education, youth mentorship, and community service at the local, state, and national levels; and

WHEREAS, the Southeast District of NANBPWC represents one of the organization's most dynamic and impactful regions, serving members across multiple states for more than six decades and consistently championing leadership excellence and community empowerment throughout the southeastern United States; and

WHEREAS, the 68th Annual Southeast District Conference will convene March 19-22, 2026, in Columbus, Georgia, bringing together business and professional women, community leaders, youth, and stakeholders from across the region; and

WHEREAS, the 2026 conference theme, "Moving Forward With Purpose...Unstoppable," reflects the organization's historic foundation and continued commitment to progress, service, and collective impact in strengthening families, communities, and economic opportunities; and

WHEREAS, the members of NANBPWC and its Southeast District have made significant contributions to leadership development, economic empowerment, civic engagement, and community collaboration, thereby enhancing the quality of life for citizens throughout Georgia and the Southeast; and

WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments and enduring service of NANBPWC and its Southeast District be appropriately recognized.

NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize and commend the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women's Clubs, Inc., Southeast District, upon the occasion of its 68th Annual Southeast District Conference, and extend best wishes for a successful and impactful gathering in Columbus, Georgia.

BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the leadership of the National Association of Negro Business and Professional Women's Clubs, Inc., Southeast District.
