WHEREAS, on August 13, 2025, Charlie and Haley Barrett became the proud parents of a beautiful baby boy; and WHEREAS, Charles "Beau" Donald Barrett IV weighed eight pounds and measured 21.5 inches at birth; and WHEREAS, baby Beau has already brought immense joy to his family and has been welcomed with overwhelming happiness by friends, colleagues, and the members of the Georgia Senate family; and WHEREAS, his father, Charlie Barrett, has faithfully served the Georgia State Senate as Chief of Staff to the President Pro Tempore since January of 2023, and is widely known throughout the Capitol for his leadership and steady guidance; and WHEREAS, his mother, Haley Barrett, has served the State of Georgia as Communications Director for the Georgia State Ethics Commission since September of 2020, exemplifying professionalism, dedication, and a strong commitment to public service; and WHEREAS, the birth of baby Beau is, as Charlie would say, "very positive," and the members of this body are delighted that baby Beau already enjoys riding in a big red car named Clifford.
