WHEREAS, Possibilities Unlimited for Women, Inc., (PUFW) is a non-profit organization dedicated to empowering women who have experienced or are experiencing domestic violence; and WHEREAS, PUFW provides grants, resources, and support systems that foster healing, independence, and renewed purpose; and WHEREAS, several times a year, PUFW hosts a revolutionary boot camp consisting of courses in interviewing skills, financial literacy, resume writing, and dressing for success; and WHEREAS, the organization also provides grants for women to assist them with utilities, phone, and gas bills, allowing women to focus on their recovery without significant financial burden; and WHEREAS, since 2015, PUFW has used its own funding to provide book scholarships to 12th grade girls, ensuring they have the opportunity to thrive through education and personal development; and WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this extraordinary organization be appropriately honored.
