WHEREAS, the Brookwood High School boys swim team has established and maintained a proud tradition of excellence with equal emphases on character and academics; and WHEREAS, outstanding dedication, superior teamwork, and extraordinary resilience made this team a spectacular one to observe throughout the season, and as a fitting finale to its remarkable 2025 campaign, the team captured its 10th overall state swimming championship title; and WHEREAS, the phenomenal performance of the team is a clear indication of the outstanding athletic ability, dedication, hard work, and unity of purpose and spirit of each member of the team; and WHEREAS, senior Baylor Stanton led the way, setting a state record in the 200 IM; and WHEREAS, in the 200 medley relay, the team of Baylor Stanton, Ean Silvers, Collin Severtson, and Christian Alston won in a time of 1:32.26; and WHEREAS, the 200 free relay was won by the team of Baylor Stanton, Ean Silvers, Evan Loo, and Michael Stanton in 1:24.96; and WHEREAS, Oliver Van Peteghem won the 200 free in 1:36.76 and the 500 free in 4:27.04; and WHEREAS, as this magnificent team earned its well-deserved reputation for excellence by performing with courage and precision over months of training and competition, it is abundantly proper to call them champions.
