Senate Resolution 886 By: Senator Mangham of the 55th A RESOLUTION Recognizing March 3, 2026, as Faith and Clergy Day at the state capitol; and for other purposes. WHEREAS, clergy and spiritual leaders dedicate their lives to guiding others in faith, hope, and love; and WHEREAS, through prayer, teaching, encouragement, and acts of service, they uplift individuals, strengthen families, and nurture the spiritual well-being of our communities; and WHEREAS, clergy often stand beside people in life's most meaningful moments—offering comfort in sorrow, wisdom in uncertainty, and celebration in times of joy; and WHEREAS, Faith and Clergy Day at the state capitol provides a meaningful opportunity to pause and express gratitude for the faithful service and positive influence of spiritual leaders across our state. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body recognize March 3, 2026, as Faith and Clergy Day at the state capitol in honor of the dedication, compassion, and enduring commitment of clergy who faithfully serve their congregations and communities. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to the public and the press.
