## Summaries written by Georgia Commons

The following was written by claude-sonnet-5 from the text above and is not part of the resolution. Quote the text, not the summary.

A Georgia Senate resolution honors Master Sergeant Melissa Calvert-Shropshire for her service in the United States Army, including deployments supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.

### Plain-language summary

This is a ceremonial resolution from the Georgia Senate, not a change to state law. It recognizes and commends Master Sergeant Melissa Calvert-Shropshire for her military career with the United States Army, which she has served since 1999.
The resolution describes her service history, including supporting Operation Enduring Freedom at Camp Navistar, Kuwait, convoy operations into Iraq, and assignments in Mississippi, Michigan, and Kentucky. The Senate directs the Secretary of the Senate to give her a copy of the resolution as a keepsake.

### What it does
