Senate Resolution 922 By: Senators Howard of the 35th, Rhett of the 33rd, James of the 28th, Kirkpatrick of the 32nd, Setzler of the 37th and others A RESOLUTION Congratulating the Campbell High School boys soccer team for winning the 2025 GHSA Class 6A State Soccer Championship; and for other purposes. WHEREAS, the Campbell High School boys soccer team has established and maintained a proud tradition of excellence with equal emphases on character and academics; and WHEREAS, this superlative team has completed another triumphant season of soccer competition with resilience and determination; and WHEREAS, overcoming a challenging start marked by early losses, the team turned around in March, finishing the season with a 13-1 run through regional competition and state playoffs; and WHEREAS, excellent play, superior teamwork, and extraordinary resilience made this team a spectacular one to observe throughout the season, and as a fitting finale to its remarkable 2025 campaign, the team captured its first state soccer championship; and WHEREAS, the phenomenal performance of the team is a clear indication of the outstanding athletic ability, dedication, hard work, and unity of purpose and spirit of each member of the team; its superb offensive and defensive talents; and the astute direction team captains Misha Dahlen, Henry Schlichting, Alessio Lois, and Miles Russell; and WHEREAS, as this magnificent team earned its well-deserved reputation for excellence by performing with courage and precision over months of training and competition, it is abundantly proper to call them champions. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body congratulate the Campbell High School boys soccer team for winning the 2025 GHSA Class 6A State Soccer Championship and extend best wishes for their continued success. BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the Campbell High School boys soccer team.
