A RESOLUTION
Congratulating the Greenbrier High School girls flag football team for winning the 2025
GHSA Division 2 State Flag Football Championship; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, the Greenbrier High School girls flag football team has established and
maintained a proud tradition of excellence with equal emphasis on character and athletic
achievement; and
WHEREAS, excellent play, superior teamwork, and extraordinary resilience made this team
a formidable force throughout the season, and as a fitting finale to its remarkable 2025
campaign, the Wolfpack captured its third consecutive state championship title; and
WHEREAS, the team demonstrated remarkable offensive and defensive prowess, finishing
the season with an outstanding record of 22-3, as well as ranking 1st in Division 2, 2nd in all
Georgia Divisions, and 8th Nationally by MaxPreps; and
WHEREAS, the phenomenal performance of the team is a clear indication of the outstanding
athletic ability, dedication, hard work, and unity of purpose and spirit of each member of the
team; its superb offensive and defensive talents; and the astute direction of Head Coach
James Smith; and
WHEREAS, as this magnificent team earned its well-deserved reputation for excellence by
performing with courage and precision over months of training and competition, it is
abundantly proper to call them champions.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body
congratulate the Greenbrier High School girls flag football team for winning the 2025 GHSA
Division 2 State Flag Football Championship and extend best wishes for their continued
success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the Greenbrier
High School girls flag football team.
