Senate Resolution 941
By: Senators Hickman of the 4th, Ginn of the 47th, Echols of the 49th, Hatchett of the 50th
and Robertson of the 29th
A RESOLUTION
Commending the Georgia District Exchange Clubs; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, this year, the Georgia District Exchange Clubs proudly celebrate their 100th
anniversary, marking a century of dedicated service to communities across the State of
Georgia through programs that promote Americanism, youth development, community
service, and the prevention of child abuse; and
WHEREAS, since its founding, the exchange has mobilized thousands of individuals whose
collective efforts have strengthened families, supported youth, honored our nation's heritage,
and improved the quality of life in communities throughout Georgia; and
WHEREAS, exchange clubs throughout Georgia have played a pioneering role in the field
of the prevention of child abuse, establishing programs, partnerships, and Exchange Club
Centers for the Prevention of Child Abuse that provide education, support, and critical
resources to families in need; and
WHEREAS, April is nationally recognized as Prevention of Child Abuse Month, a time to
reaffirm our shared responsibility to ensuring all children grow up in safe, stable, and
nurturing environments; and
WHEREAS, the Georgia District Exchange Clubs have made a lasting and measurable
impact through prevention education, family support services, community awareness
initiatives, and advocacy efforts that help protect Georgia's children and strengthen families;
and
WHEREAS, the observance of this milestone anniversary alongside Prevention of Child
Abuse Month provides an opportunity to honor the legacy of the Georgia District Exchange
Clubs and to encourage continued community involvement in building a brighter future for
all children.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body
commend the Georgia District Exchange Clubs upon the grand occasion of their 100th
anniversary and extend best wishes for continued success.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to make appropriate copies of this resolution available for distribution to the Georgia District
Exchange Clubs.
