Senate Resolution 946
By: Senator James of the 28th
A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending Apostle Darryl L. Winston; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Apostle Darryl L. Winston has demonstrated his commitment to teaching the
Gospel, witnessing Christ through word and deed, and addressing the physical,
psychological, and intellectual needs of others; and
WHEREAS, Apostle Darryl L. Winston began his ministry while serving as a chaplain
assistant and chaplain in the United States National Guard, providing spiritual care to
military personnel and families stationed in Europe; and
WHEREAS, since accepting his call to ministry in 1986, he has spent the past 40 years
providing strategic counsel and exemplary spiritual leadership to influencers across business,
politics, education, government, and entertainment; and
WHEREAS, he has further established numerous programs and initiatives designed to uplift
and support communities across the State of Georgia and beyond, including Greater Works
Ministries, the Mercy Seat Assembly, the Global Prayer Network, the Shalom Assembly, the
F.R.E.D. Initiative, and the Save Our City Coalition; and
WHEREAS, whether the task is preparing a sermon, visiting the sick, counseling the
troubled, baptizing a new believer, or acting as a theologian, educator, administrator, or
humanitarian, Apostle Darryl L. Winston has shown the energy, devotion, and commitment
truly reflective of divine guidance; and
WHEREAS, the unmatched spiritual assistance offered by Apostle Darryl L. Winston is a
source of strength and direction for persons in all walks of life; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this enduring example of God's message
of peace and love be recognized and congratulated for his innumerable good works rendered
on behalf of persons in need.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body
recognize and commend Apostle Darryl L. Winston for his decades of exceptional ministry
as well as extend best wishes for many more years of successful fellowship and leadership.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Apostle Darryl L.
Winston.
