By: Senators Anavitarte of the 31st, Bearden of the 30th, Dixon of the 45th, Robertson of the
29th, Dickerson of the 21st and others
A RESOLUTION
Recognizing and commending the North Paulding High School Varsity Competition
Cheerleading Team for their outstanding athletic achievements, academic excellence, and
service to their community; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, the North Paulding High School Varsity Competition Cheerleading Team
achieved an extraordinary milestone during the 2025 season by capturing the Georgia High
School Association Class 6A State Championship on November 15, 2025, marking the first
state title in North Paulding High School athletics history; and
WHEREAS, the championship performance also resulted in the highest score ever recorded
in North Paulding High School history, with an outstanding score of 106.5, showcasing the
team's exceptional skill, dedication, and preparation; and
WHEREAS, the team was led by coaches Hannah Blue, Jordan Langston, and Paige Colon,
whose leadership and commitment to excellence helped guide the athletes to historic success;
and
WHEREAS, the North Paulding High School Varsity Competition Cheerleading Team
demonstrated excellence not only in athletics but also in academics, achieving an impressive
overall team grade point average of 92.4; and
WHEREAS, the program has established itself as one of the premier cheer programs in the
region, earning three region championships and recognition as a Team of the Year finalist;
and
WHEREAS, members of the competition team also contributed to the North Paulding Game
Day Cheer Program, which achieved an outstanding fourth place finish at the state level; and
WHEREAS, beyond their athletic accomplishments, members of the North Paulding cheer
program have demonstrated a strong commitment to community service by supporting fall
athletic teams, volunteering at events such as West Ridge Night to Shine, assisting with
Special Olympics activities, and contributing to community celebrations such as Holiday in
the Den; and
WHEREAS, the achievements of the student-athletes, coaches, and supporters of the North
Paulding High School cheerleading program have brought tremendous pride to their schools,
their community, and the State of Georgia while serving as an inspiration to future
student-athletes.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body
recognize and commend the North Paulding High School Varsity Competition Cheerleading
Team for their outstanding athletic accomplishments, their commitment to academic
excellence, and their dedication to serving their community as well as extend to these
student-athletes, their coaches, and supporters their best wishes for continued success in all
future endeavors.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to the North Paulding
High School Varsity Competition Cheerleading Team.
