Senate Resolution 981
By: Senators Harbison of the 15th, Robertson of the 29th, Mallow of the 2nd, Wicks of the
34th, Harrell of the 40th and others
A RESOLUTION
Commending Ladena P. Harbison; and for other purposes.
WHEREAS, Ladena P. Harbison was raised in Columbus, Georgia, as the daughter of Ed and
Cecelia Harbison and the younger sibling of Edward Harbison, and from an early age, she
demonstrated a strong love for learning, creativity, and exploration while excelling
academically from elementary school through college; and
WHEREAS, during her youth, she distinguished herself as a competitive track athlete,
earning state championships and pursuing aspirations of competing at the Olympic level
while also developing a passion for service through her early goal of becoming a sports
doctor; and
WHEREAS, Ladena P. Harbison cultivated her artistic talents through music and
performance, singing in choirs and groups, teaching herself to play the keyboard by ear,
mastering both the saxophone and violin, and contributing to her school community through
participation in band and dance team activities; and
WHEREAS, she began her collegiate studies as a pre-med student and later earned a
Bachelor of Science in business management—a foundation that would eventually support
a meaningful and impactful career in talent acquisition; and
WHEREAS, over the course of her career, she has contributed her talents across corporate,
technical, healthcare, operational, and creative sectors, working with organizations such as
Ericsson, Delta Air Lines, TROC Global, and Intuit while pursuing entrepreneurial endeavors
through her own artist-focused business; and
WHEREAS, beyond her professional accomplishments, Ladena P. Harbison is a devoted
mother to her two children, Jaylan and Celeste, whose achievements stand as a testament to
the values, resilience, and dedication she has instilled in her family; and
WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that this remarkable individual be
appropriately honored during this special time.
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body
commend Ladena P. Harbison for her many outstanding accomplishments as well as extend
their most sincere best wishes for continued health and happiness.
BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed
to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Ladena P.
Harbison.
