House Resolution 48EX By: Representatives Bell of the 75th, McQueen of the 61st, Cannon of the 58th, Holland of the 54th, and Myles of the 126th A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending RAHBI for his outstanding contributions to the arts, culture, and the State of Georgia; and for other purposes. WHEREAS, RAHBI is a dynamic and innovative musical artist whose work embodies sophistication, boldness, and genre-defying creativity, earning him recognition as a true original in the modern music landscape; and WHEREAS, a proud native of Atlanta, RAHBI began his professional journey as a member of the 1990s boy band 4th Avenue under LaFace Records, laying the foundation for a career marked by artistic excellence and evolution; and WHEREAS, he further honed his craft while touring internationally with Donnie, a Motown Records recording artist, gaining global exposure and deepening his impact as a performer; and WHEREAS, since embarking on his solo career, RAHBI has emerged as one of Atlanta's most sought-after independent artists, captivating audiences with electrifying performances on renowned stages such as AFROPUNK and the historic Apollo Theater, as well as venues throughout Europe; and H. R. 48EX WHEREAS, his artistry has garnered acclaim from influential cultural icons including Janelle MonĂ¡e and Erykah Badu, affirming his position as a powerful and respected voice in contemporary music; and WHEREAS, as the founder of "STRANGE," Atlanta's premier live music concert series, RAHBI has created a platform that celebrates individuality, fosters community, and champions creative freedom for emerging and established artists alike; and WHEREAS, beyond the stage, RAHBI continues to uplift and inspire through his leadership and service as Music Director at Temple of God Church in East Atlanta, the Black Acting Methods Studio in West Midtown, and with True Colors Theatre Company under the direction of Kenny Leon, as well as contributing to Paramount Pictures television productions; and WHEREAS, RAHBI's work transcends music, transforming it into a movement that uplifts, empowers, and encourages all individuals to embrace their authentic selves unapologetically. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend RAHBI for his exceptional talent, cultural impact, and unwavering commitment to artistic expression and community empowerment.
