House Resolution 59EX By: Representatives Adeyina of the 110th, Mitchell of the 88th, Mason of the 94th, Kendrick of the 95th, Carter of the 93rd, and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Councilwoman Richelle Brown for her outstanding leadership, unwavering commitment to youth empowerment, community advancement, and cultural inclusion; and for other purposes. WHEREAS, Councilwoman Richelle Brown serves with distinction as a member of the Snellville City Council and as Chair of the Snellville Youth Council, where she has dedicated herself to empowering residents, fostering civic engagement, and creating opportunities for future generations of leaders; and WHEREAS, throughout her career of public service, Councilwoman Brown has demonstrated an unwavering commitment to strengthening communities and advancing economic and civic development through her service as a former Board Member of Snellville Tourism and Trade and former Chair of The Grove at Towne Center Residents Association; and WHEREAS, she has consistently championed the principle that every individual deserves to be recognized, respected, and celebrated for their unique identity, and her leadership has inspired residents from all backgrounds to embrace diversity, honor cultural heritage, and contribute meaningfully to their community; and H. R. 59EX WHEREAS, as Chair of the Snellville Youth Council, Councilwoman Brown has cultivated a new generation of leaders by providing students with opportunities for civic engagement, leadership development, public service, and community involvement, empowering young people to become active participants in shaping the future of their city and state; and WHEREAS, her visionary leadership and steadfast support of the Snellville Youth Council's Juneteenth: Unity Day Celebration have transformed the event into a powerful platform for education, cultural awareness, civic participation, and community unity, while creating opportunities for students to serve as planners, ambassadors, and leaders in honoring the significance of Juneteenth and celebrating the rich diversity of the City of Snellville; and WHEREAS, through her mentorship and guidance, students within the Snellville Youth Council have achieved remarkable success and recognition, including receiving a State of Georgia Resolution honoring the organization, the 2026 She Rocks Life Flame Award from the Gwinnett Women's Chamber of Commerce, and the Woman of Honor Award from Believe Again Global, reflecting her dedication to developing confident, service-minded, and accomplished young leaders; and WHEREAS, Councilwoman Brown is a passionate advocate for mental health awareness, educational equity, scholarship opportunities, and youth development initiatives, recognizing that access to resources and support is essential to unlocking the full potential of every young person; and WHEREAS, her leadership has positively impacted countless individuals by creating pathways to success, expanding opportunities for underserved populations, and fostering a culture of service, inclusion, and civic responsibility throughout the City of Snellville and Gwinnett County; and H. R. 59EX WHEREAS, Councilwoman Brown's legacy is reflected not only in the offices she has held but in the lives she has transformed, the leaders she has mentored, and the opportunities she has created for others to thrive and succeed; and WHEREAS, her exemplary record of service, leadership, and dedication has earned her the admiration and respect of colleagues, constituents, community organizations, and the citizens she faithfully serves. NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE HOUSE OF REPRESENTATIVES that the members of this body recognize and commend Councilwoman Richelle Brown for her exceptional contributions to youth empowerment, community advancement, cultural inclusion, and public service and extend to her their sincerest appreciation for her continued dedication to improving the lives of others.
