26 LC 129 0534 Senate Resolution 561 By: Senators Brass of the 6th, Walker III of the 20th, Anavitarte of the 31st, Jones II of the 22nd, Jackson of the 41st and others A RESOLUTION Recognizing and commending Cartrelia Denese Sampson on her outs tanding service as a1 legislative assistant, serving many senators over the years with the Georgia Senate, and now,2 as the Director of Constituent Services with the Office of the Lieutenant Governor; and for3 other purposes.4 WHEREAS, since 1996, Cartrelia Denese Sampson, fondly known as Denese by all those5 who know and love her, has served in the Senate as a legislativ e assistant, assiduously6 working with Senators from districts across the State of Georgia and compassionately serving7 as a public servant who always goes the extra mile to provide o utstanding service to the8 constituents of Georgia; and9 WHEREAS, since January 2023, she has been the Director of Constituent Services for the10 Lieutenant Governor of Georgia; and 11 WHEREAS, she has diligently and conscientiously devoted innumerable hours of her time,12 talents, and energy toward the betterment of her community and state as evidenced13 dramatically by her 30 years of superlative service as a legislative assistant; and14 S. R. 561 - 1 - 26 LC 129 0534 WHEREAS, Denese's significant organizational and leadership talents, remarkable patience15 and diplomacy, keen sense of vision, and sensitivity to the needs of the citizens of this state16 have earned her the respect and admiration of her colleagues, associates, friends, family, and17 constituents; and18 WHEREAS, she is a person of magnanimous strengths with an unimpeachable reputation for19 integrity, intelligence, fairness, and kindness; and20 WHEREAS, Denese has served with honor and distinction with the Georgia Senate, and her21 vision and unyielding commitment to the State of Georgia have set the standard for public22 service; and23 WHEREAS, it is abundantly fitting and proper that the outstanding accomplishments of this24 remarkable and distinguished Georgian be appropriately recognized.25 NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE SENATE that the members of this body26 recognize and commend Cartrelia Denese Sampson for her efficient, effective, unselfish, and27 dedicated public service to the State of Georgia and extend the most sincere best wishes for28 her continued health and happiness.29 BE IT FURTHER RESOLVED that the Secretary of the Senate is authorized and directed30 to make an appropriate copy of this resolution available for distribution to Cartrelia Denese31 Sampson.32 S.
