26 LC 61 0318 House Bill 950 By: Representatives Kahaian of the 81st, Dunahoo of the 31st, Kelley of the 16th, and Gullett of the 19th A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT To amend Code Section 20-2-771 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to1 immunization of students, so as to require schools and child ca re facilities to provide2 information regarding immunization requirements and exemptions from such requirements3 to parents and guardians; to provide for an effective date and applicability; to provide for4 related matters; to repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.5 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:6 SECTION 1.7 Code Section 20-2-771 of the Official Code of Georgia Annotated, relating to immunization8 of students, is amended by adding a new subsection to read as follows:9 "(i) Each school and facility shall provide the parents and gua rdians of each student10 information regarding each immunization required by the Department of Public Health in11 accordance with this Code section and exemptions from such requ irements. The12 information regarding exemptions shall be provided in the same manner and format as the13 information regarding immunization requirements and shall include information on how14 parents and guardians may complete the affidavit provided for i n subsection (e) of this15 Code section."16 H. B. 950 - 1 - 26 LC 61 0318 SECTION 2.17 This Act shall become effective on July 1, 2026, and shall appl y beginning with the18 2026-2027 school year.19 SECTION 3.20 All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.21 H.
