26 LC 65 0018 Senate Bill 391 By: Senators Parkes of the 7th, Jones II of the 22nd, Mangham of the 55th, Kemp of the 38th, Jackson of the 41st and others A BILL TO BE ENTITLED AN ACT To amend Article 5 of Chapter 11 of Title 16 of the Official Co de of Georgia Annotated,1 relating to offenses involving illegal aliens, so as to prohibit activities related to immigration2 enforcement in certain locations absent a judicial warrant; to provide for such prohibition to3 apply to federal, state, and local government employees; to pro vide for related matters; to4 repeal conflicting laws; and for other purposes.5 BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:6 SECTION 1.7 Article 5 of Chapter 11 of Title 16 of the Official Code of Geo rgia Annotated, relating to8 offenses involving illegal aliens, is amended by adding a new C ode section to read as9 follows:10 "16-11-204.11 Notwithstanding any other provision of law to the contrary, no federal, state, or local12 government employee, including law enforcement officers, shall conduct immigration13 enforcement activities or take actions with the intent to assist in immigration enforcement14 without a judicial warrant issued on or in any school grounds, college campuses, public15 places of worship, hospitals, public libraries, and family violence shelters."16 S.
