A BILL TO BE ENTITLED
AN ACT
To amend Part 1 of Article 1 of Chapter 2 of Title 38 of the Of ficial Code of Georgia1
Annotated, relating to general provisions of state military gen erally, so as to prohibit the2
deployment of armed military forces of other states into this state without the permission of3
the Governor; to provide for an exception; to provide for other matters; to repeal conflicting4
laws; and for other purposes.5
BE IT ENACTED BY THE GENERAL ASSEMBLY OF GEORGIA:6
SECTION 1.7
Part 1 of Article 1 of Chapter 2 of Title 38 of the Official Co de of Georgia Annotated,8
relating to general provisions of state military generally, is amended by adding a new Code9
section to read as follows: 10
"38-2-13.11
(a) No armed military forces from another state, territory, or district shall enter this state12
for the purpose of performing any military duty without the permission of the Governor.13
(b) The provisions of subsection (a) of this Code section shall not apply to armed military14
forces that are in the service of the United States and are act ing under authority that is15
validly invoked by the President of the United States."16

SECTION 2.17
All laws and parts of laws in conflict with this Act are repealed.18
